and I am caught up in it. 

I have no say over still waters

or a rushing current. 

I don't decide the direction it goes 

and can't manipulate the places it flows down towards.

I'm just caught up in it.

I can fight the pull but it'll exhaust me

or I can surrender and succumb to the movement 

regardless of the speed of it.
